Failure
One of my friends is a catalyst for my failures. I know this sounds like I am not facing reality but trust me this is true and he will tell you so. For example yesterday we tried to go find a nice place to get a pint while sitting outside. First we failed to think of any places with outside seating that we could walk to. This is Seattle however so outside seating isn't exactly common place as it wouldn't be used nine months out of the year. So we decided to walk to an old favorite which I hadn't been to in a while as I had moved away from it. We get there and the power is out.
I know what the common thought is; shouldn't you have noticed that the power was out when you were walking there? In our defense it was the only building without power. We did fail to notice the four or so utility trucks infront of the building. So we decided to go to a different place which I had remembered had a deck in the back with seating. We walk back there only to find that it is closed Tuesdays and only Tuesdays. Failure again. Like when I used that semi colon in the first sentance.
We finally vanquished this failure by just going to a place that we had walked by (twice) and knew was open. We proceeded to eat, drink and be merry. But, of course, there was one final failure. By the time we got back it was quite late and I went to bed, thus totally failing to modify this blog from its template format. I'm not sure who I can blame this on though.
So the next time a string of bad luck results in a massive string of failures, remember, it may not be you, it may be the guy next to you.
